A number of Parties shootout slams North Korean and South Korean Military

Incheon - Related crossfire between the military of North Korea (North Korea) and South Korea (ROK), Tuesday (23/11) afternoon, South Korean President, Lee Myung Bak held an emergency security meeting. At the meeting, Lee Myung Bak said the attack could not be tolerated because of the number of civilians.
"We will conduct large-scale retaliation if North Korea makes more provocations," said Lee Myung Bak on Tuesday (23/11).
United States (U.S.), which has more than 28 thousand troops stationed in South Korea, condemned the attack. From Washington, White House secretary, Robert Gibbs asked North Korea to immediately stop the attack and threatened to help the defense of South Korea.
UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon also condemned the North's artillery attacks. He calls it as one of the worst incidents since the end of the Korean War in 1950 ago.Ban called for each side to exercise restraint and immediately advise all the problems can be solved by peaceful means.
According to South Korean army, the clash left two South Korean marines were killed and 15 civilians were injured. Residents who live on the island was also evacuated to a safer place.

Indonesia Potential to Build 30 Nuclear Reactors

Monday, November 22, 2010 10:06 AM |Senior Advisor of the National Nuclear Energy Agency (Batan), Dr Henry Purwanto, points out, Indonesia allowed to build 30 more nuclear reactors because it has great potential supported geological factors and raw materials are adequate.
"Every province in Indonesia mimiliki potential to build nuclear reactors since the raw material lots and geologically quite supportive," he said in Pangkalpinang on Monday.
He explained that currently there are three new nuclear reactors in Indonesia, namely in Serpong, Yogyakarta and Bandung, with power around 90 Mega Watts.
"The reactor has a power of 30 Watt Megawa for agriculture and health, while for nuclear could reach 10 thousand Mega Watts for a single reactor," he said.
He said the Koreans are the vast country is only a quarter of three Java can have as many as 20 nuclear reactors, and China has built 30 reactors.
"While Indonesia has only had three small-scale reactor, but allows each province to build a nuclear reactor," he said.
He explained that nuclear power is very cheap energy, not prone to contamination and to build a Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) is to provide an area of 25 hectares.
"Babylon has been established nuclear power plant site in West Bangka Regency, this province will be faster progress if the NPP had built," he said.
According to him, pros cons of nuclear power plant and a fear society because of ignorance about the importance of this energy.

Latin American countries need to be careful with Iran and motivation when they discuss the development of nuclear capabilities, said U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates in Santa Cruz on Sunday.
"I think countries that deal with Iran in this field need to be very careful about how they interact with Iran in terms of what Iran's motives and what they really trying to do," said Robert Gates told reporters ahead of the Pan-defense America.
The host country Bolivia is one country who are interested in developing nuclear capabilities with Tehran. U.S. and some Western powers believe that Iran's nuclear program for military purposes while Tehran protested that its nuclear program for civilian purposes.
"I do not know exactly what Iran actually do, so you really know the truth," Gates said."If they talk about civil nuclear power, then all can be maintained by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and we will not question it. But I do not believe Iran has the independent ability to help anyone who is building a civilian nuclear capability. The ability of their still have under contract with Russia for 20 years, "Gates said.
